Share lets riders heading a similar way travel together. Each person pays less than the private fare, and one driver completes a single pickup run instead of three separate trips. You still choose your own addresses — Share only changes who sits beside you.
Share is available for one adult on an everyday ride requested now. If nobody joins, your private price simply stands.

Choose Share before you type an address
The booking screen opens with Private and Share side by side. Pick Share and the per-person prices for one, two and three riders appear straight away.

We look for riders going your way
Your pickup and drop-off need to sit close to the other riders’ — up to three people in one car, searching for about three minutes. The whole group rides with the first driver who accepts.

Your total follows the people
Each rider’s price is recalculated as people join, and again if someone drops out. If nobody joins, the private price you were quoted simply stands.

Before anyone joins
Riders give an ID number plus proof of address or a bank account. New drivers add their ID, licence, valid PrDP, proof of address and criminal check, then choose Passenger or MOVE.

Before a request goes out
Riders complete a fresh selfie check on the spot. If the check cannot run, the request is never dispatched — there is no weaker fallback.

At the kerb
Match the driver photo, car and number plate, then share your four-digit PIN only once you are in the right vehicle. The driver enters it before the trip can start.

On the road
Follow the driver, the pickup route and the arrival estimate. Send your trip to a trusted contact, keep emergency calling within reach, and chat or call the other party.

After arrival
Both sides rate each other, riders may add a comment, and the trip stays in your history so a concern can be raised with the facts.

- A balance only the review team can adjust, so earnings and deductions are recorded rather than edited
Your photos and documents
Account portraits sit in private storage that only you and the people on your current trip can open. Licence, PrDP, address and criminal-check documents are visible only to the review team — never on a public page.
Talking while the trip runs
Chat and in-app calls open only while a trip is live, only for the two people on it, and appear nowhere else. Calls run directly between the two phones and are not recorded or billed.

Why create a Trip95 account?
Your account brings ride requests, driver details, live tracking, trip history, ratings and trusted-contact settings into one place. You can also apply to drive without creating a second account.
Where can I use Trip95?
Enter your own pickup and destination to check your trip. Availability depends on nearby approved drivers; the app does not guarantee coverage in every town or at every time. Intercity bookings also depend on group formation and driver acceptance.
Why do I need to capture a photo?
Riders capture an account photo when registering and complete a fresh selfie check before each ride request is dispatched. An eligible driver can see the requesting rider’s photo, and the rider sees the accepting driver’s photo. Account photos are held in private storage with access limited to the owner and relevant trip parties.
Can I choose any pickup and destination?
Yes. You are not restricted to fixed routes. Enter your own addresses, choose an available ride class and review the upfront total before you request.
How does Intercity Share work?
Choose a private ride if you want to travel alone and cover the full trip fare. To share, schedule an intercity journey and join riders heading the same way. Shared fares are estimated per person and can reduce as others join; matching and driver acceptance are required. In-app payment collection and automatic payment splitting are not connected yet.
What is Trip95 Share for everyday rides?
Share is the savings choice for local trips. If a trip costs R25 alone, two riders on a similar route pay about R18 each and three pay about R15 each — while the driver earns more from the same trip. These are suggested prices, not fixed fares. If nobody joins, you pay the private price.
Are card payments available?
In-app card payments are not connected yet. A booking or displayed price does not mean a payment has been completed. Confirm the payment arrangement with your driver before travelling.
Can I be both a passenger and a driver?
Yes. One account lets you switch between Passenger and Driver. To drive, you must submit your licence, vehicle details and documents and receive approval. Passenger and driver areas show their own relevant information.
